On Wednesday morning we were split into three groups and we each got to go for a ride on the Karitane Charters Catamaran. We drove to Karitane and met the owner. We were all very excited!!
Each group got to go on the Catamaran for about an hour. We motored out over the sand bar and then stopped to hoist the sails. It was much quieter with the sails. We were allowed to wander around and have a look. There was a kitchen and living quarters down below which were really cool. 
There were two big nets at the front of the Catamaran that we could relax in. There were allowed to be 5 children one net at a time. It was very relaxing in them.
Some people were lucky enough to get a turn steering the boat.
Back at the wharf we had a visit from a special character. This is a Hooker Sea Lion who was swimming around the catamaran. He likes to follow it in and out of shore.
