Beach Education - Warrington Beach
On Tuesday morning we drove to Warrington Beach where we met two life guards, Ryan and Sam, who were going to teach us all about beach safety.
We went up into the clubhouse for a while where we learned about waves and rips and sun safety.
Then we we down to have a look at the IRB (Inflatable Rescue Boat). It was really cool.
From there it was time to hit the beach where we played a couple of warm up games with Sam.
Finally it was time to 'HIT THE WATER" and we all charged off into the surf. It was a pretty chilly morning, but that didn't stop any of us. We spent an hour playing in the surf, jumping the waves and boogy boarding.
It was awesome!!!!
We went back up to get warm and dry and have lunch and then after lunch we returned to the beach. In groups we made some sand sculptures, and had lots of fun playing in the sand.
